Rome to host Iran’s first exclusive exhibit in October

TEHRAN- Iran’s first exclusive exhibition would be held in October 2016 in Rome, Italy, said Pietro Piccinetti, the director of Fiera Milano International, Italy’s largest trade fair and exhibition organizer
IFIF Public Relations-According to Piccinetti, Fiera Milano International and Iran International Exhibitions Company (IIEC) have signed an agreement according to which the two firms are projected to collaborate in organizing trade fairs and exhibitions in both countries, the IRNA news agency reported on Saturday
The cooperation between the two sides’ major fair organizers, he said, is aimed at conducting joint studies on economy and guiding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)active in the fields of agriculture, food, renewable energies, environment, machinery and decorative arts
Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, heading a 250-strong political and economic delegation, travelled to Tehran on April 12, making him the first Italian official in such capacity to visit Iran since 2001
During his meeting with Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Mohammadreza Ne’matzadeh, the two countries’ private sectors signed 12 memorandums of understanding in various sectors including energy, steel, telecommunications, aviation and medicine
The visit by Renzi comes after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visited Rome in late January during which Iran and Italy concluded 17 deals, worth €17 billion
