Lombardy region`s companies are eager to invest on Iran`s transport and health infrastructure sectors.

IFIF public relations - Deputy Vice Governor of the Lombardy region Fabrizio Sala (member of the European House-Ambrosetti delegation) has expressed satisfaction from cooperation between Iran and Lombardy region.

Lombardy is in the northeast of Italy with about 10 million people, which a sixth of Italy`s population lives there. Milan is its capital.

In 2015, the value of Iran and Lombardy`s trade affairs was approximately 400 million euro, 20 percent rises from the previous year and it might increase by 5 to 6 percent in 2017.

According to Sala, Lombardy has world`s major companies active in transport and health infrastructures sectors.

The first meeting was held in Tehran, May 15th and 16th, aimed at broadening relationship and cooperation between Tehran and Rome.

Banking systems, insurance, taxation systems, expansion of joint works, infrastructure issues, auto making industry, urban development, energy, commerce, investment, tourism and culture were the topics discussed in the meeting.
