Iran, Romania stress expansion of economic relations

September 22, IFIF quoted from IRNA – Iran and Romania stressed expansion of bilateral relations in economic areas, especially in carrying out joint investment ventures.
Members of Iran-Romania joint economic commission who are in Bucharest for a joint meeting on Thursday reviewed ways of expanding and developing relations between the private sectors in such areas as establishing joint investment companies and ports.
Iranian Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Construction Amir Amini who heads the Iranian delegation after a meeting with his Romanian counterpart described the visit as very positive.
During his various meetings with Romanian officials, he discussed ways of mutual cooperation in transportation areas, including better use of regional and international transportation corridors, with the aim of gaining access to European markets.
He also discussed bilateral cooperation in energy sectors and explored existing capacities for private sector investments in refineries and petrochemical industries.
