Iran to export mushroom to Germany
October 6, IFIF public relation- At the invitation of the Bavaria Ministry of Agriculture, an Iranian delegation of businessmen, traders and entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture and food industry headed by the chairman of agriculture in Tehran Chamber of Commerce visited Germany to explore the grounds for trade and economic cooperation.
Food and Agriculture Minister of Local Government of Bavaria "Helmut Brunner", Deputy Minister of Agriculture and food industry in the state "George Hassell”, Head of the Department of Nutrition and market, the Ministry of Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry Bavaria "Eckert Dawer”, Managing Director of Dairy Industry Association of Bavaria "Maria Linder”, CEO of German Milk Industry Inspection Forum "Christine Baum Gartner» and other agriculture and food specialists took part in the meetings and exchanged their information. On the sidelines of this trip, B2B meetings were held with the participation of 13 food and agriculture companies of this state.
During the meeting with German partners, Chairman of Agriculture in Tehran Chamber of Commerce "Kaveh Zargaran" stressed the need to increase bilateral cooperation in the field of food and agriculture, transfer of experiences and set the grounds to attract foreign investments in Iran.
Zargran visited Minister of food and agriculture of Bavaria and said that despite of considerable growth in Iran`s agriculture, Iran is ready to cooperate with foreign investors to seize the opportunities of regional markets. New German technologies and economic opportunities in Iran can be important steps for cooperation between the two countries to attract market of Iran and its surrounding countries in the region with 400 million consumers.
Minister of Agriculture of Bavaria Helmut Brunner, also pointed out that after removal of economic sanctions at the beginning of the year, Iran has become a promising place for bilateral economic ties. He said “Iran is emerging for bilateral cooperation and active Bavaria companies in the field of food and agriculture keen on to take part in Iran`s growing market.”
“Our special and high quality products are well-known around the world. We're going to prove it in Iran, too, and both sides have a great interest in the joint ventures.” Brunner added.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the State George Hassell, visited chairman of agriculture in Tehran Chamber of Commerce and the delegation separately and referred to the need of the state to import mushrooms from other countries and called for creating an appropriate atmosphere to supply the mushrooms from Iran. Zargaran mentioned that the quality of Iran's mushroom equals the level of international standards and Iranian delegation should take the necessary steps to introduce varieties of mushrooms produced in the country and explore the grounds for export to Germany.
Secretary General of Federation of Iranian Food Associations Kaveh Zargaran also visited the CEO of Bavaria Milk Industry Associations and insisted on promoting mutual cooperation. He also added that according to the presence of strong local companies and fruitful available resources export of dairy products to Iran is not Iran's current policies of public and private sectors. So the presence of foreign partners in the Iranian market only depends on their investment in the country, thus he explained the conditions of the joint venture in the country for the Bavarian CEO of Milk Industry Association.
Zargaran also visited German CEO of Milk Industry Inspection Association "Christian Baum Gartner”, Head of nutrition and market, the Ministry of Nutrition, Agriculture of Bavaria "Eckert challenge" and some other activists of Agriculture and Food in separate meetings.
Underlining the positive effect of this trip, Zargaran said that both parties explained their views to each other in the meeting, and they reached a conclusion for further cooperation. For instance, exploring the possibilities of exporting Iran`s mushrooms to Germany and mutual investments in order to produce dairy products was on the agenda.
