October 16, IFIF public relation- Minister of Health Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi praised three-year efforts of Secretary General of Federation of Iranian Food Associations Kaveh Zargaran to promote health and improve the quality of products in food industry by presenting certificates of appreciation and medal.

Heads of organizations and food industry executives, a group of deputies of the Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and Jihad Agriculture attended the World Food Day conference held in Vahdat Hall on October 16th with the slogan of “Climate is changing, Food and agriculture must too.”

Head of FAO in Iran Nakouzi, Health Minister of Iran Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Deputy Minister of Health and Head of FDA Rasoul Dinarvand, Chairman of Federation of Iranian Food Associations Mohammadreza Mortazavi, Secretary General of Federation of Iranian Food Associations Kaveh Zargaran also held speech in this event.

Zargaran in part of his speech said” With the help of organizations and cooperation of manufacturers, Iran`s food industry takes steps in line with the goal of public health.”

“Iran is the world's highest consumer of bread and only less than 10 percent of child suffer from malnutrition.” Ghazizadeh noted.

In this conference Medal of Health and Safety was awarded to 34 food products and beverages.
