November2, IFIF public relation- Iranian and Russian transport executives and officials took part in the eighth meeting of Iran-Russia Comprehensive Transport Committee held in Tehran on Wednesday.

Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s news service said that both sides discussed ways of broadening cooperation in road, rail, marine and air transportation.

Facilitation of visa issuance procedures for Iranian sailors and truck drivers, electrification of the Garmsar-Inche Borun railroad in northern Iran and construction of Qazvin-Rasht railroad as part of the International North-South Transport Corridor were the main topics on the agenda.

Russia’s state-run rail holding Russian Railways is planning to open an office in Iran.
