November 7, IFIF public relation- The first Meatex - International Exhibition of Halal protein products- kicked off with the participation of 85 local and foreign companies from 13 countries.

Meatex exhibition which is the only specialized exhibition in the world and the only exhibition of protein products in the Middle East, inaugurated in Tehran International Fair on Saturday November 5th with the presence of chairman of Iran Veterinary Organization Mehdi Khalaj, Director General of Food, pharmaceutical and health office of Industry, Mine, and Trade Ministry Mehdi Sadeghi Niaraki, Chairman of  Federation of Iranian Food Associations Mohammadreza Mortazavi and  Secretary General of Federation of Iranian Food Associations Kaveh Zargaran as well as Iranian secretaries of  food industry Associations.

54 local and 31 foreign companies from 13 countries including United Arab Emirates, Australia, Germany, Lebanon, Finland, China, Hong Kong, Greece, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Britain, Spain and the Netherlands came together and present newest products, industry and equipment, machinery and their services.

The first International Exhibition of Halal protein products and related industries, is an ideal opportunity for manufacturers and suppliers of this industry, so they can have a strong presence in the related markets.

Secretary of Protein products Association Majid Aflaki, said that “The exhibition aims to provide good infrastructure in order to attract foreign investments, absorbing technology and technical know-how and modern machinery to upgrade the current factories, and also help to boost export markets for producers in Iran.”

Introducing organic food Exhibition of Biofach Nuremberg and Seminar of fermented meat products are other programs that will be held during the four-day exhibition, he added.

A variety of meat and dairy products, organic products, food additives, preservatives and allowed additives (natural and chemical) for the production of raw or processed products, machinery and equipment for processing of Halal protein products, the production cycle, packaging, distribution, storage and sale of protein and processed products are offered.

One of the main objectives of the exhibition is to meet the needs of Muslim countries for halal products, particularly in the Middle East, CIS and Eastern Europe with a population of nearly 450 million.

This exhibition will be continued until November 8th.
