Malaysia to boost trade exchange with Iran in post-JCPOA

November 21, IFIF public relation- Head of Malaysia International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) Datuk Wira Jalilah Baba said that Malaysian businessmen are willing to have more economic and trade cooperation with Iran in Post-JCPOA.
Presenting a report on Iran`s economic conditions in post sanction era, the secretary of Iran-Malaysia 1st Investment and Trade Opportunities Exhibition Mohammad Hafez Hakami invited Malaysian investors to invest and transfer technology due to Iran`s growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) since 2014.
Accessing to North Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe market and having 13000-km of railroad and free zones in north and south of the country, Iran has special opportunities for Malaysian exporters.
At the end of the event held by MICCI, a MoU signed by Iran ASEAN Business Council (IABC) and MICCI.
In 2015 Iran-Malaysia trade exchange worth 532 million dollars and both sides hope to increase it to 1 billion dollars.
