Iran, Hungary urge enhanced economic ties
During the meeting, the Iranian Parliament speaker said that now the time is ripe for Iran and Hungary to give a boost to bilateral cooperation.
Larijani said that the two countries need to promote economic relations, particularly industrial issues.
Noting that environmental issues, renewable energies, constructional projects, such as ports and railways, and agricultural sector top the agenda of the Iranian government, the Iranian Parliament speaker said that Iran and Hungary can have positive cooperation on these areas.
The Hungarian prime minister, for his part, said that Hungary kept his positive relations with Iran during sanctions time. He expressed hope that interactions between Iran and Hungary will improve in the post-sanctions era.
Hungary has always supported Iran’s interests in the European Union, Semjén said.
He underlined the need for the expansion of banking cooperation between the two countries which he said will be to the benefit of merchants of both countries.
