In addition to holding talks with Spanish officials, Mojtaba Khosrowtaj, also head of Iran Trade Development Organization, and his accompanying delegation comprising representatives of the state and private sectors will head the first Joint Economic Commission of the two countries on December 4-5.

Signing the Iran-Spain Economic Cooperation Roadmap and several memoranda of understanding is also on the Iranian delegation’s agenda.

During its stay, the Iranian delegation is scheduled to participate in the Conference on Iran-Spain Economic Cooperation Opportunities and hold expert discussion panels on the two countries’ economic activists.

Spain is among the European countries which were quick to forge trade and economic ties with Iran in the post-JCPOA era.

JCPOA is the official title of the nuclear deal reached between Iran and six world powers in July 2015 to limit the country’s nuclear activities in exchange for relief from international sanctions.
