Iran attends WTO meeting in Argentina as observer
An Iranian delegation attended the 11th World Trade Organization meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as observer member.

The Iranian delegation combined of representatives from Majlis (parliament), Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

WTO is the most important international economic organization in the world, which regulates world trade laws and settles disputes between members.

Members of the WTO have signed around 30 agreements of the organization. Its headquarters is in Geneva, Switzerland.
Currently the organization has 164 members and 21 observers. Since 1996, Iran has observer status.

This is the first meeting of WTO following Trump becoming US president, which he had already called the organization as 'Disaster'.

The meeting kicked off on Sunday and will wrap up on Wednesday December 13, 2017.
